On 31st January, the Newbury Job Fair brought together over 180 job seekers and 20 local employers, marking a significant step forward in connecting talent with opportunity in the community. Hosted in collaboration with West Berkshire Council and the Job Centre, the event showcased the strength of local partnerships and the shared commitment to fostering employment and economic growth.
The fair featured a diverse range of employers from sectors including retail, technology, education, and public services. Thames Valley Police, Lidl, Primark, and Roc Technologies were among those offering roles. The event was an opportunity for job seekers to engage directly with employers and gain insights into different industries.
The success of the event has sparked discussions about hosting another job fair later in the year, building on the positive feedback.
