Protecting Newbury’s Chalk Streams: My Work to Address Pollution from the M4
Lee has raised concerns in Parliament about pollution from M4 motorway runoff affecting Newbury’s chalk streams, particularly the River Lambourn. In response, the Government confirmed that National Highways treated a polluted site in 2024 and is prioritising high-risk areas under its 2030 water quality plan.
