As a member of the Housing, Communities & Local Government Committee, last week I challenged the Government on the scale of their social housing plans, because 180,000 homes over ten years simply does not match the level of need.

Today in Parliament, I asked the Defence Secretary to ensure that service families aren’t left waiting for basic repairs while the Government’s £9 billion military housing upgrade is rolled out. Our Armed Forces deserve homes that are safe, warm, and properly maintained, not promises of improvement years down the line.
