I've written to the Justice Secretary about the Government's sentencing changes after reports that two men convicted over the killing of PC Andrew Harper remain eligible under the new arrangements.

When residents in Hungerford raised concerns about changes to the local policing structure, I wanted to ensure their voices were heard. On 6th June, I hosted a meeting with Thames Valley Police, the Police and Crime Commissioner, and local councillors to get answers and secure reassurances. Together, we discussed what these changes mean for our community, and I will continue to monitor the situation closely so Hungerford gets the policing it deserves.
