Keir Starmer Must Condemn Trump’s Illegal Actions in Venezuela

While Maduro is a brutal and illegitimate leader, the way these actions have been carried out by the US President is illegal and dangerous. Keir Starmer has again refused to say whether these strikes breach international law. His hesitancy risks giving Trump a free pass and undermines the rules that protect nations worldwide.

The Liberal Democrats have called for the Government to release any legal advice it holds on this matter. Transparency is essential. The British public deserves to know if international law has been violated, and our Government must hold leaders accountable, whatever their power or influence.
