Evri Delivery Delays

Over recent weeks, I have been contacted by a growing number of constituents and local businesses about serious problems with Evri deliveries, including parcels going missing, being delayed, incorrectly tracked, or delivered to the wrong address. At any time of year, this is frustrating, but at Christmas, it has caused real distress, with people relying on deliveries for gifts, essential items, and business orders.

I want to be clear that I recognise the hard work of front-line staff who are often operating under significant pressure, particularly at peak times. However, something has clearly gone wrong, and constituents are rightly asking for answers.

I have raised these concerns with Evri’s Head of Public Affairs and customer service teams in an effort to seek clarity and resolution for affected residents. What has become apparent is that many of the problems being reported locally reflect wider, well-documented issues being experienced by Evri customers across the country. People have been left without clear information about where their parcels are, when they will arrive, or what steps are being taken to put things right.

That is why I am supporting Early Day Motion 64961, which calls for greater accountability and transparency from Evri, and for the company to properly address ongoing concerns around resourcing, working conditions, and service standards.

Residents and businesses deserve a delivery service they can rely on, and staff deserve systems that allow them to do their jobs properly. I will continue to press Evri for clear explanations and meaningful improvements, and I will keep constituents updated as I do so.
