Opening Doors at Destination EXPO

I had the pleasure of visiting the Destination EXPO careers fair at Newbury College. There were more than 1,200 young people from across West Berkshire and over 50 businesses and education providers giving vital inspiration and support.

There was a great atmosphere and I spent time talking with exhibitors, meeting local employers and education institutions, and hearing first-hand from students what they want and what they worry about.

Events like this give students a chance to explore, ask questions, and open doors – whether into apprenticeships, further study, or employment. They give employers a chance to meet fresh talent and help shape our local economy.
