49 local organisations and schools signed up for 2025 UK Parliament Week, it’s fantastic to see so many children and young people across Newbury and West Berkshire getting involved in democracy.

It was a privilege to visit the Destination EXPO careers fair at Newbury College, meet many of the organisations taking part, and see so many students exploring their future pathways.

I am delighted to invite all primary school pupils in the Newbury Constituency to submit a design for my 2025 Christmas card. 

West Berkshire has been overlooked in the first phase of new school-based nursery places, despite clear local need. I’m pushing Ministers to ensure every child here gets the high-quality early years support they deserve.
